Job Description

Description:
The DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Technician is responsible for delivering, setting up, and maintaining medical equipment, such as rollators, walkers, hospital beds, patient lifts, and manual and electric wheelchairs, for patients in-home or healthcare facilities. Responsibilities Receives a daily route and required supply list and prepares the vehicle for delivery by pulling stock (e.g., wheelchairs, hospital beds, bathroom aids, medical supplies, etc.) and loading equipment in the van. Instructs and demonstrates patient/caregiver/nursing staff on proper and safe use of equipment Works/drives safely in all aspects of job, while obeying all traffic laws and company procedures. Safety is our #1 goal Cleans, disinfects, repairs, and quality checks all products as required in accordance with set up procedures (comprehensive in-house training provided) Completes and maintains vehicle inspection reports Completes required paperwork for all delivery, pick up, or service of equipment and adheres to HIPAA privacy and confidentiality regulations and guidelines Completes all required training, including continued educational training. Loads and unloads equipment in an orderly and safe manner in accordance with set policies and procedures Other duties and tasks as assigned
