A Brief Overview Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration and modification of a wide range of medical instrumentation, including life support equipment. What you will do Perform preventive maintenance on all medical equipment within the hospital using standard procedures. Troubleshoot a wide range of complex medical equipment. Diagnose equipment problems on the units using prior experience and knowledge of equipment operation. Provide formal and informal educational information to physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel, as needed. Operate a wide array of complex test instruments. Maintain legible and complete records of all work assignments. Demonstrates ability to accurately research and order parts while maintaining an inventory of parts. Interpret equipment service manuals and instruct staff on proper repair and preventative maintenance procedures. Interrupt and apply regulatory agencies codes and procedures. ( JACHO, FDA, DOH, NFPA) Stay current on technological advances and assist in up-grading procedures and methods, where indicated. Assumes responsibility for on-going education based on individual identified needs. Demonstrates the ability to recognize, establish and deal with priorities promptly. Informs Director of events and issues impacting the department and staff. Maintains the department in a neat, clean, and orderly manner. Observes and enforce hospital policies concerning smoking restrictions, telephone usage, infection control, hazardous material handling, and other related rules governing conduct while at work. Appears well-groomed and observes hospital dress code; wears identification badge while on duty and maintains a professional appearance. Perform other related duties, as requested by hospital management. Pay Range:
$42.00/hour - $50.40/hour
