The Biomedical Engineering Bench Technician maintains medical equipment readiness to ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications by performing scheduled maintenance, repairs, end-user support, and installations. Supports compliance with the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) to improve patient safety. Seeks guidance and collaborates with BMET I through BMET IV. Takes direction from BMET Supervisor(s).
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Demonstrates proficiency using computer-based technology (i.e., Google email, calendars, etc). Demonstrates a basic understanding of a hospital's core function to the community. Demonstrates knowledge of current technology and its uses as it relates to healthcare. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
