Summary:
Working under close supervision the Biomedical Equipment Technician- II is responsible for assisting in maintaining Biomedical and related equipment that supports the clinical engineering operations.Responsibilities:
1. Provide assistance to senior-level Biomedical Equipment Technicians in performing remedial corrective maintenance. 2. Maintain documentation of all service events, performance tests, and corrective maintenance. 3. Schedule and oversee third-party repair as necessary. 4. Participate in or assist with development of departmental and hospital-based continuous quality improvement initiatives. 5. Perform related duties as assigned. 6. Must be capable of troubleshooting bio-medical devices and related equipment 7. Must possess knowledge about the proper use of diagnostic tools, test equipment and software, where applicable 8. Experience working with medical hardware, software and equipment productsEducation or Equivalent Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
- Valid driver's license
Experience Preferred:
- Enrollment in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in Applied Science or Biomedical Equipment Technology, or completion of a DoD certified program in Biomedical Equipment Maintenance and Repair are preferred.
Certification Preferred:
- AAMI certification preferred We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
