This position has the ability to offer sales commission on top of the hourly rate. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical safety testing, installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety in ambulatory surgery center environments. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the quality of patient care by ensuring that all biomedical equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Entry level encouraged to apply. This is a high-demand travel job that covers the state of Florida. Must be willing to travel and some overnight stays. Company car and cell phone provided. Must pass a Driver's License check and have no major incidents or accidents in the past 12 months. Responsibilities Perform routine electrical safety testing, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a variety of biomedical equipment, including diagnostic imaging systems, patient monitoring devices, and therapeutic equipment. Utilize work orders, inventory management, and scheduling preventive maintenance. service calls and testing monthly. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs on medical devices. Conduct field service activities, including installation and setup of new equipment at healthcare facilities. Maintain accurate records of service performed on equipment and ensure compliance with OEM specifications. Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide training on proper usage. Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition; utilize hand tools effectively for repairs. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance. - preferred Familiarity with OEM guidelines and standards for medical devices. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment necessary for repairs. Strong understanding of computer hardware related to medical devices. Experience with calibration processes for various types of biomedical equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Previous field service experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
