Knowledge of fundamentals of electronics, use of test calibration equipment, preform maintenance, ability to troubleshoot medical devices, and repair basic medical equipment e.g., IV pumps, sequential compression devices, suction regulators, and various non-specialized medical devices. Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Uses basic test equipment and simulators to troubleshoot and repair medical and other electronic equipment. Performs electrical safety inspections, operational verification for medical devices. Maintains proper documentation as set forth by regulatory agencies and departmental policies and procedures; inputs date to an existing computer-based system. Consults with team leader concerning assignments and keeps test leader informed of activities, needs, and problems. Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe; uses proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies. Applies cost effective measures in the utilization of materials and time. Adheres to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Preferred Associate's degree in Bio-Medical Technology Associate's degree in Electronics (with experience in HTM)Experience:
Preferred HTM Internship- 1 year (Healthcare Technology Management BMET) 1-2 years in
Electronics Certification/Licensure:
Required Valid State Issue Driver's License Location:
