Job Description

Biomedical Equipment Tech Advertising/Posting Title Biomedical Equipment Tech Posting Summary Repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of complex medical instruments. Provide customer support in the management of clinical technology for multiple clients. May operate University vehicle on/off campus when making site visits. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Associate's degree in in Biomedical technology or electronics with one to three years related experience required. Valid driver's license and driver's check required. Successful completion of a background check required. Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Effective communication, customer service and computer skills required. Desirable Qualifications Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable. Anticipated Pay Range Other Information Special Conditions Non-standard work hours required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Travel to and from worksites required, Bargaining unit position FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU Posting Details Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.
