Job Description
Cancer Conference Coordinator Oncology Information Center 1st shift, Flex, Varied Full Time / 80 hours per pay period •Position will be located at Atrium Medical Center The Cancer Conference Coordinator will assist the Abstractors and Oncology Administration, per departmental policy and procedures, with the following, but not limited to, three main areas. Follow-Up -Checking listings for expired patients, researching electronic medical record for patients lost to follow-up Multidisciplinary Cancer Conferences - Work with oncology nurse navigators, physician staff, and our essential partners to obtain cases to be presented. Perform pre-and post-conference tasks. Assist with conference setup, including obtaining help from IT staff should there be technical difficulties with equipment during oncology conferences. Enter conference data into templates and/or oncology database for Commission on Cancer tracking. Participate in annual CME application process to ensure credits are provided for conference attendees. Maintain attendance lists and submit proper documentation per department request and for tracking CMEs. Commission on Cancer accreditation - As necessary, assist with simple reporting, data collection for Oncology Committee meeting reports or other documentation required for Commission on Cancer accreditation
Education Minimum Level of Education Required:
High School completion /GED Licensure/Certification/Registration Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required:
No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: Medical Office experience preferred Knowledge/Skills Technical skills of Medical Terminology and anatomy required Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent keyboarding skills of 40 wpm with accuracy Knowledgeable with various computer hardware Superior telephone skills Ability to work independently and with a team Attention to detail Effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills Flexibility with change and interruptions, attention to detailsSimilar jobs in Middletown, OH
