Cardiac Sonographer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality cardiac and vascular diagnostic imaging procedures in an efficient and patient-focused manner. This role works closely with physicians and healthcare staff to support accurate diagnosis and quality patient care.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies according to physician orders Complete exams efficiently while maintaining quality imaging standards Assist physicians with radiology and ultrasound procedures as needed Organize workflow during high-volume periods and communicate pending exams effectively Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper cleaning and safety procedures Monitor exam charges and departmental documentation processes Respond to on-call requirements within designated response times Support other radiology areas when needed Participate in department meetings, in-services, and compliance activities

REQUIRED CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Echocardiograms with Definity Contrast TTE Echocardiograms TEE procedures Stress Echocardiography Venous reflux studies Venous, carotid, and arterial dopplers ABI testing Pericardiocentesis assistance Thrombin injections Vein mapping exams Ability to independently start IVs

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 years of experience required Echo and vascular experience required MediTech EMR experience required Non-local candidates only

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS & CERTIFICATIONS

Current work history Skills checklist (within 1 year) 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years Active ARDMS certification Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification

Pay:

Up to $60.00 per hour
