    Typical hours 6:30
  • 3:00. Position requires call
  • weekdays, weekend and holiday coverage.
This position is based within Jefferson Regional Cardiovascular Services Department.
Job Summary:
The Radiological Technologist specializes in the use of medical imaging to diagnose and treat patients. This includes assisting the physician in the performance of a variety of diagnostic/interventional cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures at a technical level using imaging for guidance including but not limited to fluoroscopy and angiography. This role performs procedures according to physicians orders but requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Rad Tech assumes role of panner, scrubber, or control booth monitor as assigned. Rad Techs assume responsibility for working collaboratively with other members to ensure patient safely, well-being, and accurate delivery of care.

Radiologic Technologist•
Cardiovascular Services Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology required.

Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.

Graduate for an AMA accredited Radiology Technology program.

Arkansas Department of Health Radiologic Technologist Licensure required.

Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. BLS/CPR required upon hire or obtain prior to patient care. ACLS required within a year. Current license with the Arkansas State Medical Board and Registered through the Nation Board of Respiratory CareMinimum RequirementsExperience operating x-ray equipment and imaging related softwareStrong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work collaborative in a team oriented environmentAbility to work under pressure in a fast paced environmentPreferred RequirementsExperience using an electronic health recordContinuous education and training in radiology advancements and techniques1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in a procedural area.
