The ideal candidate will possess the RDSC or RCS and RVT credential. However, skilled experienced sonographers with a proven record of accomplishment and a commitment to certification will also be considered. The position is outpatient service only with a Monday-Friday 8am to 5 pm schedule and no call. Benefits offered for good long-term candidates. Remuneration is excellent and commensurate with experience and productivity. Job Summary Variety of imaging is performed on modern GE vivid S60 machine with fully fitted abdominal, cardiac, and vascular probes and an online study reporting and storage download system. The following studies are routinely performed and the sonographer must be FULLY proficient in them: echocardiography, carotid duplex, upper and lower extremity arterial duplex, abdominal and sometimes visceral (renal artery) duplex studies. Education/Licenses/Certifications Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR required. Current RDCS or RCS and RVT or RVS certification ideal. Duties and Responsibilities Perform the studies on a full-time basis with careful attention to detail quality and reporting of work. All studies will be reported by the technician and reviewed and signed off by the vascular physician within 48 hours after study. Professional Requirements Graduate of a Cardiac Ultrasound program. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) . Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVT), RDCS, RCS, preferred. CPR certified essential. Previous clinical experience ideal.

Full-time Minimum Requirements:
Registered or successful completion of accredited academic program in Echocardiography according to Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI (RCS). Successful completion of registration within 2 years of starting employment. Current registration including American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or CCI (RVS) and a minimum of two years' work experience as a vascular sonographer. Ability to skillfully operate standard medical/testing equipment used for cardiac diagnostic purposes to optimize data by applying principles of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. Typing skills of 35 plus words per minute. Possesses cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. Requires clear close and distance vision with the ability to identify and distinguish colors. Presents neat, professional appearance. Under the direct supervision of the Vascular Lab Manager performs peripheral arterial/venous, abdominal arterial/venous, carotid duplex and transcranial Doppler ultrasound examinations. Assists Echo-Vascular Lab Manager and attends required CEU to maintain registry status. Provides the highest quality vascular care.
