2 Description American Traveler is seeking an IR Technologist with 2+ years of experience in interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures, including coronary, IABP, and Impella, for a 13-week acute care assignment. Details Acute care hospital setting in a combined Cath Lab and IR unit with 4 procedure rooms/suites Averages 15-20 cases per day, including STEMIs, peripheral and coronary interventions, and critically ill patients Procedures include laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, and AngioJet Facility is a STEMI receiving center
EMR:
Cerner; hemodynamic monitoring system: Merge Hemo Imaging equipment: Siemens/Philips (experience helpful but not required) 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend (EOW) First to float as needed 30-minute on-call response time required 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation Charge nurse coverage during the day; circulating nurse serves as charge after hours Cardiologist and respiratory therapist available on standby 24/7; pharmacy in-house 24/7 Requirements Minimum 2 years of IR/Cath Lab experience required Experience with coronary and peripheral circulation, IABP, and Impella required Comfortable working with critically ill patients Active ARRT certification required; pending certifications not accepted Active BLS certification required Active Fluoroscopy permit required Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted Driver's license required for consideration 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Additional Information Manager interviews are required for this position All MyJourney modules must be completed prior to arrival; failure to complete will result in a delayed start — no exceptions Scrubs provided in teal blue Familiarity with Merge Hemo system is a plus but not required Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
