Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations using sonography and other imaging techniques.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential patients, actual patients, and others in a position to understand service requirements. Gains patients' cooperation by reducing anxieties. Thoroughly reviews patient/physician notes prior to exam to ensure correct imaging techniques are used. Explain exam and answer questions. Prepares patient for the ultrasound procedure. Performs 2D, 3D, M-mode, Doppler, Contrast and Strain echocardiograms. Maintains production and high-quality studies by following the established standards, protocols, and procedures. Gives opinions and/or explanations of data and/or images at physicians' request. Maintains ultrasound supply inventory. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Documents patient care services by organizing all data obtained for physician interpretation. Creates echo report including summary in Epic structured report. PACs is Agfa/Tomtech Relays patient preliminary results to reading cardiologist as needed. Adheres to all guidelines of SDC (South Denver Cardiology) and IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commision). Provides proper emergency care, as needed. Contributes to team effort. Maintain required registry status. Completes monthly and annual competency, as required.
Qualifications:
Certified Adult Cardiac Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialling International. Extensive training in cardiac ultrasound
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Epic experience preferred Medical office experience preferred Basic CPR Vascular US is a plus but not necessary
Physical Effort:
Ability to support adult patient in emergencies as needed
Pay:
$40.00 - $56.00 per hour
