Per Diem The Electrophysiology Tech performs specialized cardiovascular procedures in the Electrophysiology Laboratory (EP), including but not limited to: records hemodynamic pressures and computerized data, operates special X-Ray equipment, burns c.d.'s, assists the invasive/interventional cardiologist with procedures using sterile technique and has knowledge of cardiac medications Responsibilities Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities. Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information. Adheres to Corporate, Regional, Hospital and Departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time. QualificationsEDUCATION
Minimum:
Graduate of accredited program in Radiology Technology, or Equivalent or Graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent (CCI/CVT) or Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology ProgramEXPERIENCE
One- year experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, EP Laboratory preferred.REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
Radiologic Technologist Radiologic Technology Registration/Licensure as required (ARRT) Florida LicenseCRT RCIS
within 12 months of hire required.AHA ACLS
Certification AHA BLS Certification Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program AHA BLS CertificationAHA ACLS
Certification Registry or Certification of Cardiovascular Technologist, RCES or RCIS within 12 months of hire.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Field of expertise: Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Able to perform effectively in a complex, patient centered environment. #LI-MQ1 Organization Description Delray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years.
