Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Deliver critical support in a cutting-edge medical environment as a skilled professional utilizing expertise in cath lab technology and imaging. This contract-based opportunity offers the chance to contribute to vital cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic services, working alongside a talented clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate specialized cath lab imaging equipment to assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and related interventional procedures. Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile environment for patients and staff, adhering to standardized protocols. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures and promptly communicate any changes to the medical team. Document procedure details accurately and ensure imaging records are maintained with the highest confidentiality. Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging equipment; report malfunctions promptly. Provide compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures, answering questions and explaining processes as needed. Collaborate with fellow technologists, nurses, and physicians, contributing to best practices and continuous quality improvement.
Desired Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technology program. Current certification/registration as required by state and national standards (RCIS, ARRT, or equivalent). Prior experience in a cath lab environment, demonstrating proficiency in imaging technology and interventional cardiology procedures. Strong understanding of patient safety, radiation protection, and hospital protocols. Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in urgent situations.
