Job Summary and Qualifications Serves in the capacity of the Electrophysiology Technician; assisting in patient care through procedures. Directly involved in assisting with EP procedures and the development of protocols. Cross trains cath lab staff to EP procedures to achieve a level of comfort in working with the new procedures and meet developed competencies that are developed. Responsible for recognizing all pressure forms and hemodynamic parameters recorded. Utilizes supplies and equipment with efficiency. Assesses the physiological and psychological needs of each patient that is admitted to the CVL holding area. Documents all appropriate information in complete, concise, neat, and accurate manner. Effectively achieves hemostasis causing minimum discomfort and bleeding.
What qualifications you will need:
A graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required OR graduate of a degree granting program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic) with a current certification or registration required. Experience working in the Cath Lab as a Technician required.
