As a Cardiac Sonographer III , you'll use advanced echocardiography technology to perform high-quality diagnostic studies that play a vital role in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease. Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations in accordance with clinic policies, protocols, and industry standards. Utilize advanced sonographic knowledge to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while adapting exam techniques based on patient anatomy, pathology, and clinical presentation. Exercise independent clinical judgment to distinguish normal from abnormal cardiac structures and identify pathological findings during examinations. Analyze echocardiographic images, correlate findings with patient history, and communicate pertinent information to cardiologists and referring providers. Prepare accurate preliminary reports and promptly communicate urgent or critical findings following established protocols. Ensure patient comfort, safety, and education throughout the imaging process while providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold quality assurance standards to support excellent clinical outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, high-quality cardiovascular care. Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to infection prevention and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a specialty area such as echocardiography and/or vascular diagnostics. Current certification/registry in both cardiac and vascular sonography through ARDMS and/or CCI. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license required when operating a vehicle for work-related duties.
