Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for an experienced Imaging Cath Lab Technician with a focus on Electrophysiology (EP) to support a hospital setting in the Glenview, IL area. This travel position offers a dynamic work schedule with extended shifts and on-call responsibilities that contribute to providing excellent cardiovascular patient care.
Location:
Glenview, IL is a vibrant suburban community near Chicago, offering residents an excellent mix of urban amenities and scenic outdoor spaces. Known for its welcoming neighborhoods, quality schools, and a variety of restaurants and shops, Glenview provides a comfortable and convenient living environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform imaging procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting diagnostic and interventional cases Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure patient safety and procedural success Prepare and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards Participate in on-call rotations, responding promptly to emergent cases during nights, weekends, and holidays as required Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care activities
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) setting Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required Ability to work flexible shifts including 4 - 10 hour shifts and take on-call duties (2-3 days per week, every third weekend) Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week On-call 2-3 days weekly with guaranteed minimum call-in hours Weekend and holiday coverage as needed This travel opportunity includes 16 hours of orientation prior to assignment and allows you to gain valuable experience while enjoying the flexibility of travel assignments.
