Echocardiogram Technician Registered - Cardiology General Christus Health United States, Louisiana, Alexandria 3330 Masonic Drive (Show on map) May 12, 2026
Description Summary:
Position requires considerable technical ability, experience and judgment to perform cardiovascular ultrasound and evaluate the quality of data for Cardiologist interpretation. Must have substantial knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular disease, dynamics of blood flow, Doppler and color flow imaging techniques. Expected to have a detailed understanding of ultrasound instrumentation, cardiovascular physiology and pathology, hemodynamics and the ability to relate these findings into clinically meaningful data.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Requirements:
Educational training in Non-invasive Cardiology areas; basic arrhythmia and advanced arrhythmia training preferred. 2 years of experience in the field of Cardiovascular Ultrasound and Non-invasive procedures. Must have one of the following certifications: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) granted by ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) granted by CCI, Registered Vascular Sonographer granted by ARDMS or CCI, with at least two (2) years of echo experience.
