Qualifications:

Current certification as a Perfusionist (ABCP or equivalent) Demonstrated experience operating heart-lung machines and other perfusion-related equipment Sound understanding of surgical protocols and patient safety standards Ability to work under pressure in a collaborative environment Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:

Operate the heart-lung machine and monitor patient status during open-heart surgeries and related procedures Administer blood products, medications, and other fluids as directed Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient care during cardiac procedures Maintain complete and accurate perfusion records throughout all cases Perform routine and preventative maintenance on perfusion equipment Participate in continued education to stay updated on perfusion best practices and new technology
