On the road; multiple locations Position Overview K & T Diagnostic, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly skilled Part-Time Mobile Cardiac Sonographer to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide mobile echocardiography services to patients in assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, retirement communities, memory care facilities, and private residences throughout Western Massachusetts. Using state-of-the-art portable ultrasound equipment, PACS, and cloud-based technology, we bring high-quality cardiac imaging directly to patients who may be frail, medically vulnerable, disabled, or unable to travel to a traditional imaging facility. This position is ideal for an experienced sonographer who values independence, variety, flexibility, and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Evaluate cardiac anatomy and function and obtain accurate measurements Acquire clear, complete, and high-quality diagnostic images Document technical findings and complete preliminary technical worksheets or reports Travel to scheduled patient homes and healthcare facilities throughout the assigned service area Properly position patients, including those with limited mobility Explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance throughout each examination Operate, transport, clean, and maintain portable ultrasound equipment Review examinations for quality and completeness before submission Upload images and supporting documentation securely through PACS and cloud-based systems Maintain accurate and timely patient records Follow HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and company protocols Communicate professionally with patients, families, facility staff, clients, and coworkers Required Qualifications Active RDCS credential through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography—required Previous experience performing adult echocardiography Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong cardiac anatomy, imaging, measurement, and patient-positioning skills Ability to work independently and manage a mobile schedule effectively Strong attention to detail and commitment to image quality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to complete examinations and documentation accurately and promptly Comfortable traveling to multiple patient locations during an assigned shift Commitment to providing respectful, compassionate, and high-quality patient care Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, compassionate, and confident working independently in a mobile environment. You should have excellent technical skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to provide calm and reassuring care to elderly, frail, disabled, and medically vulnerable patients.
