Yes The Cardiovascular Technologist performs diagnostic invasive procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Scrubs and assists Cardiologist as requested. Responds to patient distress situations and assists with equipment quality control and inventory management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology program OR Exercise Physiology Program (BS) with the required related experience OR related education with equivalent work experience.

Experience:

None required if a CV Tech graduate OR at least six (6) months related experience OR completion of an internship in related department.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

RCIS Certification required within eighteen months (1.5 years). BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network. ACLS within ninety (90) days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Accredited school.

Experience:

Previous Cath Lab experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
