The Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician works under the supervision of the Director or Clinic Manager to perform/assist in performing cardiology testing. Charges and prepares 12-lead electrocardiograms for interpretation by physician. Performs treadmill tests, Holter monitors, Event monitors hook-up and scan for dysrhythmias. In clinic setting, testing includes cardiac stress testing, mobile/remote telemetry monitoring, remote pacemaker/defibrillator/loop recorder monitoring and reporting, supervised in office pacemaker/defibrillator/loop recorded device analysis and programming and reporting, as supervised by provider or device analyst. > Additional Information Help for Additional Information.   • Inputting data, calibrating equipment, answering telephone, speaking clearly, manipulating small items, fine motor skills, knowledge of body mechanics and CPR.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Interpersonal Skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, physicians, etc.
  • Must work well as a team member. Essential Physical Requirements
  • Standing for extended periods of time while performing treadmills.
  • Ability to stoop and climb (2-3 ft) if needed to perform CPR including chest compressions.
  • Ability to lift patients (100-200 lbs) in/out of beds.
  • Reach 3-5 feet to assist patients. Essential Mental Abilities
  • Interpret EKG and treadmill data for quality analysis.
  • Ability to understand/comprehend anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to follow instructions, concentrate on patient's well-being. Essential Sensory Requirements
  • Ability to visually evaluate EKG strip for quality analysis.
  • Communicate articulately to patients, physicians and staff.
  • Ability to feel patient's pulse and listen to patients, physicians and staff speaking. Exposure to Hazards
