Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. The CMA Cardiac Device Technician works under the supervision of the Clinic Manager. This position performs clinical and technical assessment of patients with permanent pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. > Additional Information

Verbalizes and demonstrates knowledge of pacemakers and implantable defibrillators devices; pacemakers and implantable defibrillator analysis; trouble-shooting devices; problem, cause, intervention; programming devices with appropriate settings.
Ability to manipulate equipment (finger dexterity)

Displays a friendly, positive attitude and communicates with patients, families, physicians and co-workers in a professional manner.
Ability to communicate in verbally and written.
Ability to explain test procedures and reports to patients, physicians, and other staff members. Essential Physical Requirements
Must move, kneel, crouch, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift.
Must follow good body mechanics.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (20-30 lbs). Essential Mental Abilities
Ability to collect thorough information regarding patient's condition and evaluate effects of care; must be able to visually inspect patient's condition.
