Job Description
Provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic effective patient care as scheduled. Performs patient care services Ensures daily living activities are performed as scheduled and documented Performs technical skills per standards as assigned/delegated Promptly responds to call lights as appropriate Proactively participates in implementing patient care plans Schedules patients for treatments, procedures, and/or tests per standards Follows safety rules in all areas of patient care and ensures safe patient environment Maintains patient data and records Communicates patient/family health care needs to the appropriate health care provider Reports significant events and information timely to appropriate team member Assists with planning by sharing input from patient and family with appropriate team member Answers telephone and call lights appropriately and timely delivering information to appropriate team members Maintains supplies and equipment of the assigned area Ensures all patient care and unit equipment are in proper working order Performs courier services as requested Maintains adequate inventory of supplies Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction Provides assistance to team members as requested or required Participates on committees/councils and performance improvement activities as requested/required including unit meeting and education Regular and timely attendance is required for this job Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements Practices within legal, ethical, and professional boundaries Maintains expertise in the area Serves as a role model by demonstrating positive team based behaviors Shows commitment to personal professional growth through the pursuit of advanced knowledge and skills Safeguards confidential information Performance of duties will be in compliance with all laws and regulations governing healthcare organizations Performs other related duties as assigned or requested Contributes to the daily operations of the department by performing other roles or duties as needed Completes special duties or projects as assigned
