JOB SUMMARY
The Echo Sonographer Intern at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Cardiac or Vascular Sonographer, assisting medical staff during procedures, delivering excellent customer service, and effectively communicating with patients, family members, and medical personnel. This role is required to attend in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs, staying knowledgeable about Echocardiography procedures, equipment, and relevant changes in the field |
  • JOB•FUNCTIONS•| | - | Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Cardiac or Vascular Sonographer.
Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required. Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner. Communicates effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members. Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs. Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Echocardiology examinations. Stays abreast of changes in Echocardiography. Adheres to
NMHS/NMMC
Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues. All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
