A Cardiovascular Technician or Technologist uses imaging technology and other procedures to diagnose cardiac (heart) and vascular (blood vessel) problems in patients. Works closely with cardiologists and medical sonographers. Works in hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Job Description
Patient Advocate:
- Protects patient from potential injury; selects operative setups and supplies to maintain sterile technique during all procedures
Customer Service:
- Monitors customer service through assessment and evaluation.
Management of Team:
- Coaches and assists team members in preparation, use and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Performance competency:
- Possesses a working knowledge of all equipment, contrast media, and inventory used during procedures.
Goals and Objectives:
- Assists the manager in identifying and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives.
Cross training:
- Possesses the willingness to expand knowledge.
Technical Competency:
- Renders highest technical skills in physiological recordings and possesses a complete knowledge of digital radiography imaging.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must hold current RT(R) or RN licensure
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification at HCP Level required
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification required, or obtained in one year
- Possesses knowledge of cardiac patients, defibrillators, and Code Blue
- Competent in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients _We believe a career is more than just a career - it's a calling.
