Days | 10-Hour Shifts Job Summary The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations to evaluate heart structure and function using high-frequency sound waves. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Perform echocardiograms and other cardiovascular ultrasound procedures according to physician orders. Prepare exam rooms and verify patient identity, history, and informed consent. Position patients and select appropriate imaging protocols. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and evaluate studies for completeness and accuracy. Document patient information and communicate findings to the healthcare team. Monitor patient condition during procedures and provide appropriate care. Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Clean exam rooms, stock supplies, and transport patients as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards. Requirements ARRT (S) or ARDMS registry required. RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) required. BLS (AHA) certification required. #
