Technician - Cath Lab Hickory, NC 28601 Job Summary Homeland has partnered with an esteemed and vibrant healthcare system to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician (RCIS or RTR) for a high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab in beautiful Hickory, NC. The Cath Lab Technician role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced procedural environment and is passionate about supporting life-saving cardiac interventions. As a Cath Lab Technician , you will join a collaborative and high-performing cardiac care team within a well-established STEMI program. The Cath Lab Technician will work alongside experienced physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists in a setting that values teamwork, adaptability, and clinical excellence. This opportunity also allows the Cath Lab Technician to gain exposure to advanced cardiac procedures while supporting both cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology (EP) services, contributing directly to high-quality, life-saving patient care. Responsibilities Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to all procedural protocols Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition to the care team as appropriate Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and readiness Operate and maintain cath lab equipment and imaging systems Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support coordinated patient care and efficient procedural flow Respond to emergent situations and assist with rapid clinical decision-making Provide patient and family education as appropriate Advocate for patient safety and overall well-being throughout the procedural process Requirements Current ARRT or RCIS certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required (or equivalent experience) 1-3 years of Cath Lab or procedural experience preferred Additional Information This position follows a procedural-based day shift schedule, with emergency-only coverage after 5:30 PM for STEMI and other urgent cases. The role includes an approximate call requirement of one shift per week, with weekend call rotation occurring every fifth weekend. Scheduling is structured on a 5-week rotating cycle to support consistency, predictability, and long-term planning.
