Job Description

JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Director.
DEFINITION OF POSITION A
Registered Cardiac Sonographer who is responsible for performing echocardiograms, transthoracic echos and stress tests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Demonstrates competence as a Cardiac Sonographer. Registered as RDCS or RCS Must strive to continue the educational process to maintain current practices Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification Good verbal/written skills
Working Conditions:
Generally comfortable surroundings. Extensive walking and standing. Variable work hours expected (4-12 shifts). Exposure to infectious diseases. Exposure to radiation. Moderate noise. Exposure to air borne particles. Exposure to caustic chemicals. Risk of electrical shock.
