1 Description American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of IR experience for a combo IR/Cardiology/Vascular/EP lab position requiring ARRT or RCIS certification. Details Combo lab environment covering Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Vascular, and EP procedures — approximately 80% IR and 10% other procedure types Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including PPM and ICD device implants Procedures include diagnostic and interventional radiology, cardiology, and vascular interventions requiring scrubbing and circulating Special equipment includes GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Canon and GE Labs, Angio Jet, Penumbra, EKOS, Inari, CSI Atherectomy System, Bovi System/Implanta Plasma Blade Cutter, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, Venous Closure Unit, Sono Site, S2000 Ultrasound Unit, IABP, and Impella Charting in Dimensions EMR 5x8 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Every third weekend required Call requirement of a minimum of 7 call days per month, typically structured as two call days per week for two weeks and one call weekend per month; additional coverage may be required on a rotating basis Callback time is 30 minutes for STEMIs; IR callback time is determined by procedure type Call team consists of three staff members, one of whom is an RN No float requirement Contract length is 13-20 weeks Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required Current ACLS and BLS required ARRT or RCIS certification required Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating IR/Cath Lab and cardiology procedures required Telemetry experience required License required if applicable Two manager or supervisor professional references from within the past 2 years required prior to start (pending at time of consideration is acceptable) Additional Information Assist providers during diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including scrubbing and circulating; medication administration is performed by RN staff only Expect urgent and emergent cardiology and interventional radiology cases EKG lead placement experience is preferred Preferred certifications include ARRT Advanced Certification, RCES, or RCIS with medical experience Techs begin directly on the unit on Mondays until Dimensions EMR training is completed Orientation is 40-80 hours; modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) must be completed prior to start and are completed via online learning, Zoom, webinar, or in-person classes Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; no holiday RTO is permitted for this role No RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation; up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved if not on a holiday, with additional RTO requiring facility approval Previous permanent, PRN, or per diem employees of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be eligible at a different rate Travel pairs are allowed provided each traveler has their own transportation and is comfortable with potentially different schedules Scrubs are provided
