40 hours per week Requirements Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Applied Science program. Minimum 3 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience in an acute care hospital. Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures . Hands-on experience with Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) is required. Permanent pacemaker implantation experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring , sterile technique, and cardiovascular procedures. Experience with Mac-Lab and Epic is preferred. Current AHA BLS Certification required. ACLS Certification required (or obtained within the required timeframe). RCIS certification or Radiologic Technologist credentials preferred. ARRT certification is a plus. State Radiology license is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, instruments, and specialized cardiovascular equipment. Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Support temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation procedures. Assist with advanced circulatory support devices, including Impella and IABP . Set up, calibrate, and operate hemodynamic monitoring systems. Collect, calculate, and interpret cardiac output, pressure measurements, oximetry readings, and other hemodynamic data. Operate power injectors and assist with imaging equipment during procedures. Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, radial compression devices, and hemostatic closure techniques. Recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac arrhythmias during procedures. Maintain accurate electronic documentation, digital imaging, and patient records. Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of cath lab equipment. Monitor inventory levels and prepare supplies for scheduled procedures. Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique protocols. Participate in required on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
