Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) technology to support a dynamic surgical team within a hospital environment. This contract position offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons and healthcare staff to provide optimal patient care in the operating room.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CVOR Tech or related operating room technologist role Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent, with CVOR specialty preferred Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments and CVOR procedures Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and maintain a sterile field throughout cardiovascular cases Strong organizational and communication skills Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile Assist surgical staff in patient positioning, draping, and instrumentation before, during, and after procedures Monitor inventory of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper handling and decontamination Collaborate with nursing and surgical teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices during surgeries Accurately document procedures and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Respond swiftly and efficiently to emergencies in the operating room environment This contract offers a chance to gain valuable experience in a specialized area of surgical care while working with a dedicated professional team.
