True Job Description:

As a member of the Health Care Team, under the direction of the Attending physician, provides technical assistance by scrubbing and or monitoring a variety of Cardiac/ Vascular and Neuro diagnostic and interventional procedures. Participates in maintenance of lab equipment, materials, supplies, and ordering processes. All employees must adhere to the following at all times:

• Knowledgeable about patient safety and quality of care issues. Able to recognize safety issues in the department and handles incidents per institutional and/or departmental policies and procedures. If safety issues were identified; all issues were handled timely and appropriately.
• Department education and training focus has a direct impact on patient safety and reduces unsafe working conditions for employees.
• Employee attends and follows all department specific safety education and training in an effort to create a safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.)

Required Education/Experience/Licensing:

1) Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school. 2) Must be licensed in the State of Ohio 3) ARRT registered. 4) Minimum of 2 years experience in special procedures and cardiovascular procedures required. 5) Assume on-call responsibilities. 6) Must hold current CPR certification. 7) Physical requirements: a) visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable; b) ability to hear (with or without aides) c) ability to orally communicate d) good manual dexterity e) ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally f) ability to stand, walk frequently g) ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and h) ability to perform CPR (if a required for position).
