Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist ($15,000 Sign-on Bonus)

JOB SUMMARY

As an employee of Trinity Health System, it is the responsibility of this and all positions within the Hospital to support the mission and role of Trinity Health System. In addition, this position will actively support the Hospital's Strategic Plan in the areas of People, Service, Quality, Finance and Growth, in a team based environment. The employee also performs all job duties in compliance with laws and regulation in the observance of accrediting agency standards. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, this staff member performs duties relative to the direct and indirect care of patients undergoing interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Suite. To accomplish these tasks, the staff member utilizes a variety of highly sophisticated radiographic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment; scrubs with the internationalists; performs sheath removals achieving good hemostasis; participates in quality control monitoring and reporting; maintains inventory and equipment. Demonstrates the ability to utilize independent judgment in the completion of specialized tasks with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Graduate of an A.M.A. approved Radiology Technology Program with current standing with the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists (ARRT) and current Ohio License; OR Graduate of an approved invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program with registered or registry eligible status in invasive cardiovascular technology;OR Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program with specialized interventional cath lab experience with registered or registry eligible status in invasive cardiovascular technology;OR Graduate of an accredited vocational school or community college two year degree of surgical technology. Surgical Technology Certification required within 6 months of employment;OR Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Must possess current Ohio License Training and Experience Minimum 2 years recent experience in a full service Cardiac Catheterization Lab preferred. Critical Care experience preferred. BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire. ACLS provider or obtain within 12 months of hire.
