IR Tech Job Details:
  • Entry-level position working under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor
  • Deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations
  • Weekly call responsibilities required
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians
  • Utilize highly specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic, interventional and/or surgical procedures
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm all required elements are completed and documented
  • Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and enter technical data/findings
  • Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting and user maintenance per manufacturer instructions
  • Participate in continuing education, professional development and research activities
  • Required certifications include one of the following: ARDMS (RDCS or RVT), ARRT (Vascular/Cardiac Interventional Radiography or Radiography), CCI (RCCS, RCS, RCIS, or RVS), and BLS
  • Must demonstrate ability to work as part of a team, multi-task, and remain calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and maintain accurate records
  • Must possess core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology
