1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care hospital's Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring BLS, ACLS, and RCIS or ARRT certification. Details Acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting Runs 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 CVT staff per lab Average caseload of approximately 20 cases per day Uses Epic for charting 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, though hours may extend until procedures are complete On-call requirements include one weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) per month plus a call shift and an evening shift every week No floating to other service lines or sister facilities required Holiday coverage as needed Requirements Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA certifications only) ARRT or RCIS certification required (registered or in process) South Carolina state license required (SCRQSA); license required if applicable Community hospital experience required Proficient in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor roles Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy Familiarity with vascular studies/procedures, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and PACS equipment Epic EMR experience preferred Radiation badge required (provided by staffing agency) Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring and performing a range of cardiac cath lab procedures such as Impella insertion, embolization, and IVC filter placement Hospital-issued scrubs provided for cath lab staff First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs Previous MUSC perm staff or PRN employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized 60-mile radius rule applies for local candidate determination Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed
