Apply Now Job Description Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities include those listed in the competency document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Provide clinical services as requested by a physician during open heart surgery and other procedures which may utilize but not limited to extracorporeal circulation, cell saver, autologous blood component separation, operation of POC blood gas analyzer, intra-aortic balloon augmentation, and related monitoring. Participate in quality improvement measures as identified. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff by assuming duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned Uses standard precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment when working around or handling hazardous substances, including blood or bodily fluids. Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Completion of Accredited School of Perfusion Current certification by the

American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or Board Eligible BLS Requirements:
