Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Tech - Cardiac to support our cardiac unit within a reputable healthcare facility. The Nurse Tech will assist nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and efficient clinical operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in advancing their healthcare careers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, particularly within a teaching hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess relevant clinical experience and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assist registered nurses and healthcare professionals with patient care activities in the cardiac unit. Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly. Support patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance. Prepare and maintain patient rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new admissions. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records. Assist with medical procedures under supervision, including specimen collection and basic diagnostic tests. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate environment. Skills Prior experience in Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of emergency medicine practices and procedures is a plus. Experience working in Level I Trauma Centers, PICU, OR settings, Geriatrics, Medical-surgical units, or inpatient care enhances suitability for this role. Familiarity with teaching hospital environments and post-acute care settings is advantageous. Outpatient clinic experience or sub-acute care background is beneficial. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations typical of emergency medicine environments. Compassionate demeanor with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
