1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and peripheral vascular procedures. Details Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting Adult patient population Procedures include left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, device placement, and renal cases Uses fluoroscopy, Philips imaging equipment, and ultrasound 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Hours may vary slightly based on patient scheduling Call required 12-15 days per month Weekends are call-only, averaging 1 weekend per month Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in the cath lab service line ARRT or RCIS certification accepted BLS and ACLS certification required Fluoro Permit preferred License required if applicable Experience with cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and vascular closure systems preferred Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias Prior travel experience strongly preferred Any EMR charting experience required, Altera experience preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and maintaining sterile field Perform room circulator and scrub duties as needed Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD products Local candidates accepted only within 150 miles for RN/LVN roles; Allied/CNA local candidates not accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule applying Previous perm staff must have separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travel employee Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan in place
