Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a surgical technology program, an active Texas Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or LVN/LPN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 3 years of recent operating room experience in a hospital or surgery center. Recommended skills include proficiency in scrubbing multiple specialty areas such as transplants, open heart, urology, neurology, robotics, and strong attention to detail with surgical instrumentation.
