Job Description

POSITION
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESFunctions proficiently in all technical aspects of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists the cardiology team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Performs a variety of duties including operation of radiographic equipment and film developing equipment, electrophysiologic and hemodynamic recorder and computer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma is required. Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or completion of a program for radiology technology. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT by recognized credential body is required. New hires are required to be eligible to obtain the RCIS or ARRT, and are required to obtain within 120 days of hire. For the Adult Cath Lab technologists - Current BLS, and ACLS certification is required. RCIS is preferred. For the Pediatric Cath Lab technologists - Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification is required. ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
