1 Description American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist (Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Technologist) with at least 2 years of invasive cardiovascular or electrophysiology experience, RCIS or RCES certification, and proficiency in complex diagnostic and interventional procedures. Details Position is based in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting Procedures include complex diagnostic and advanced interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures Serves as circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech per cath lab policies and scope of practice Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts per week On-call is required in addition to scheduled shifts Charting is performed in Epic Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or Electrophysiology experience, not including academic or CVIS training Bachelor's degree in a health science program from an accredited institution, or graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program One of the following certifications required: RCIS, RCES, ARRT-R, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-VI Current BLS (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start Current ACLS (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start Competency in basic coronary intervention required (skills pass-off completed) Radiation badge required Fluoroscopy Operator Registration is not required License required if applicable DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include procedure room preparation and post-procedure turnover, hemodynamic recordings and interpretations, patient assessment, and documentation of procedures and associated events May administer medications under physician direction and apply or remove sheaths to obtain hemostasis at procedure conclusion Performs point-of-care testing and quality assurance Applies principles of x-ray generation and safety and operates imaging equipment correctly Maintains at least 20 hours of CME credits per year Serves as a preceptor for new CVIS I staff, including teaching, coaching, mentoring, and direct supervision Provides staff education through Skills Day Workshops and training on specialized equipment and procedural techniques Maintains comprehensive knowledge of cardiopulmonary pathophysiology, pharmacology, anatomic anomalies, and treatment options Former permanent staff must have been separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
