Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Dental Administrative Coordinator to become part of our team. For us, the front office is much more than answering phones and scheduling appointments. It is where a patient's relationship with our practice begins. We want someone who remembers our patients, takes the time to listen, follows through when they need help, and understands how important it is for people to feel known and cared for when they walk through our doors. At the same time, this is a critical administrative role. We need someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable taking initiative, and experienced enough to confidently manage the many moving pieces of a state of the art dental office.
Responsibilities:
You will be an important part of the patient's experience and the daily flow of the practice.
Responsibilities include:
Welcoming patients and assisting with check-in and checkout Answering phones and helping patients with questions and concerns Scheduling patients and maintaining an efficient, productive schedule Verifying and understanding dental insurance benefits Assisting patients with insurance, billing, and financial questions Preparing and presenting treatment plans and discussing payment options Coordinating reminders, confirmations, and follow-ups Monitoring collections, production, and other important practice metrics Maintaining compliance with HIPAA requirements Working closely with the doctors and the rest of the team to keep each day running smoothly
Qualifications:
Dental experience matters to us. We are looking for someone with previous dental front office and insurance experience, preferably with Dentrix experience. But who you are matters just as much. We hope to find someone who is kind and comfortable with people. Someone who is reliable and follows through. Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes care of it. Someone who can handle a busy day without losing sight of the person standing in front of them. Someone who does not require micromanagement, ever. Most importantly, we want someone who values being part of a close, long-term team and is looking for a practice where they can put down roots. About Company Valley Dental Clinic is a legacy practice with deep roots in the Wasilla community. We are a well-established, relationship-focused dental practice that has been providing excellent care to the Wasilla community since 1980. Most of our team members have been with the practice for over 5 years, and we are proud of the personal relationships we have built with generations of patients and families in our community.
