Job Description

$30 - $35 As a Care Coordinator for the business you would help individuals maximize their health and quality of life through healthcare benefits. This is a contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a team dedicated to supporting health and wellness through comprehensive member management programs.

6 Months
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • + Bachelor's Degree or upon hire commit to actively pursue a degree + Active License in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) + State of Alabama licensure as a Registered Nurse OR Multi-State licensure as a Registered Nurse (Compact) + Minimum of three years of clinical experience in medical/surgical health care fields, a psychiatric, and/or an obstetrical setting + Effective verbal and written communication skills with providers, subscribers and group representatives + Experience analyzing and making informed decisions in an autonomous setting + Experience in a position interpreting and communicating information orally and written with all levels of staff internal and external + Experience in a position requiring independent decision making skills + Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to provide telephone coverage + Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed •Desired Skills & Experience•+ Experience in a position using negotiation skills preferred + Experience in a position presenting information in formal and informal settings preferred + Certified Case Manager preferred •What You Will Be Doing•Daily Responsibilities + Develop, coordinate, and administer activities related to Member Management Programs.
+ Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare delivery system and group representatives. + Conduct individual member assessments and coordinate case management activities. + Evaluate member needs and develop alternative treatment plans to maximize contract benefits and provide quality care. + Interpret and communicate information orally and in writing with internal and external staff. + Analyze information and make informed decisions independently and autonomously. + Present information in formal and informal settings (preferred). + Utilize negotiation skills in member management activities (preferred). + Work a flexible schedule to provide telephone coverage as needed. + Travel up to 10% of the time to fulfill job responsibilities. + Maintain licensure and participate in ongoing education. + Collaborate with providers, subscribers, and group representatives to support health and wellness services.
