We You will be joining an incredible team and work with another staff person in supporting a sweet 18 year old. She needs to be redirected and prompted. She does engage in self injurious behaviors that need to be adressed.

You need to be strong and able to address and redirect behaviors. We are working on her doing non preffered activities that lead to independence. Once she completes those tasks she receives preffered activities. She has full days with various activities as well as outings . It is a very special and rare oppurtunity to work with an incredible,lovable young lady where you will make a real difference. You will be part of a team that are supportive,collaborative and each bring different areas of expertise. You will work directly with the client and myself and receive mentorship myself as we are hiring you directly and are not an agency. We are looking for someone who would like to work with us long term. You will need to be livescanned as well as provide refrences. Responsibilities Teaching and supporting my client with basic life skills. Following her set schedule and taking her to various activities and appointments. Coming up with outings and activities to do wit her. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Cooking and making meals. Implementing behavioral plans. Hygiene,showering,helping her to get dressed. Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary based on data collected. Skills Proficiency in behavioral techniques and tools. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. Familiarity with special education practices and strategies. Team player Excellent communication skills for collaboration with the other staff and specialists that work with him. Compassionate approach towards working with individuals facing challenges related to disabilities.
