We are looking for someone to work Fri 3-11,Sun 7-3, and Wed 3-11. There will be an oppurtunity to work full time in the spring. You will be joining an incredible team and work with another staff person in supporting a sweet 23 year old with no aggression on who is diagnosed with ASD and Catatonia . He has full days with various activities as well as outings . It is a very special and rare oppurtunity to work with an incredible,lovable young man and a team of workers that are supportive,collaborative and each bring different areas of expertise. You will work directly with the client,family and myself as we are hiring you directly and are not an agency.. We are looking for someone who would like to work with us long term. You will need to be livescanned which we cover as well as provide refrences. Responsibilities Teaching and supporting my client with basic life skills. Following his set schedule and taking him to various activities and appointments. coming up with outings and activities to do with him. Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Cooking and making meals. Implementing behavioral plans. Hygiene,showering,helping him to get dressed. Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary based on data collected. Skills Proficiency in behavioral techniques and tools. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. Familiarity with special education practices and strategies. Team player Excellent communication skills for collaboration with the other staff and specialists that work with him. Compassionate approach towards working with individuals facing challenges related to disabilities.
