POSITION SUMMARY
The Group Engagement Specialist provides case management services for children and adults to support engagement and retention of clients in behavioral health outpatient groups. The Group Engagement Specialist will cross-train with the Patient Service Representative (PSR) position to cover essential duties as needed.
Rate:
$20 EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma and one year of progressively responsible work experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Office products, other software programs, and office equipment such as fax, copiers, and scanners is required. Must have experience in a health care setting including face to face interaction with clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with clinicians, provides collateral contact with client referral sources to support engagement and retention of clients in groups. Provides outreach and support to the difficult-to-engage clients by facilitating ongoing communication with the client/referral sources and primary care physicians. Helps clients to access Recovery Support Programs, housing and other basic needs. Contacts all clients who did not show for scheduled appointment the previous day; reschedules appointments for clients with their primary clinician. Sends engagement letters to clients who have not been seen by their primary clinician within a specified timeframe. Provides discharge letters as directed. Maintains professionalism with clients, staff and colleagues. Maintains flexibility to work at various site locations as needed by various programs. Cross-trains for front desk functions to provide administrative support to clinical, psychiatric and administrative staff. Produces and delivers timely, accurate and professional documents as needed to clients, referral sources, collateral contacts, and primary care physicians. Maintains competencies to meet expectations in all position-specific key performance indicators. Pursues and utilizes available trainings and staff development opportunities, to develop computer skills and enhance knowledge and growth with the agency. Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
