Part-time Overview Position:
Part-time, 10-month position, hourly $18.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-6:30 PM, plus occasional training days provided in advance. Must be able to pass a level 2 background check.
Benefits:
Not eligible for insurance benefits. Eligible for PTO. Reports to the After Care Coordinator. Work hours are subject to change. Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with daily supervision of scholars during after-care hours. Assist with attendance, scholar check-in/check-out procedures, and communication with families as directed. Support homework and study hall time to help scholars remain focused and productive. Help prepare materials and set up activities for daily programming. Facilitate structured activities, games, learning stations, and enrichment opportunities. Assist with snack distribution and cleanup procedures. Help supervise outdoor recreation and field games. Support garden activities and other hands-on learning experiences. Encourage positive behavior and reinforce school expectations and habits. Maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment. Collaborate with school staff and upper school scholar volunteers. Miscellaneous Any other tasks in support of school culture and rigor, as determined by the After Care Coordinator. Demonstrate patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. Build positive relationships with scholars and families. Take initiative and work independently when needed. Support the mission and culture of the school. Serve as a positive role model for scholars. •

To be considered for a role as the After Care Coordinator Assistant, a candidate must… Must be reliable and punctual. High school diploma required. Experience working with children in a school, camp, childcare, tutoring, or youth program setting preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to supervise groups of children in both indoor and outdoor settings. Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to be a team player. Commitment to modeling strong character and professionalism. Hold certifications in CPR/AED, or would be required to obtain before starting. Work Environment While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter: Usual school working conditions. May be noisy during high student traffic. Outside play and garden time in the sun. Overtime Eligibility This job is not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, therefore eligible for overtime pay.
