Job Description

Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator /
Front Office Professional Pay:
$23.00-$28.00 per hour Job type: Full-time Expected hours: 32-40 per week
Location:
Tampa, Florida — in person An established, independent private dental practice in Tampa is seeking a seasoned Dental Treatment Coordinator and Front Office Professional. Our practice is relationship-driven rather than volume-driven. Although we work with dental insurance, insurance does not dictate the patient experience. We take the time to know our patients, explain their care thoroughly and provide the personal attention that is increasingly difficult to find in high-volume dentistry. We are looking for an experienced dental professional who understands both the administrative and patient-relations sides of a successful practice. This person should be knowledgeable, polished and comfortable helping patients navigate treatment, scheduling, insurance and financial arrangements. Primary responsibilities Provide a warm, professional and highly personalized patient experience. Answer telephone calls and assist patients knowledgeably and courteously. Coordinate appointments and maintain an organized, productive schedule. Present treatment plans and financial estimates clearly and confidently. Help patients understand treatment sequencing, expected appointments and financial responsibilities. Follow up with patients who have questions or unscheduled treatment. Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits and assist with preauthorizations and claims follow-up. Check patients in and out and collect applicable deposits and balances. Maintain accurate patient, scheduling and insurance information. Coordinate closely with the dentist, assistants and hygiene team. Help resolve patient concerns thoughtfully and professionally. Qualifications At least three years of dental front-office or treatment-coordination experience; five or more years is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, common procedures and treatment sequencing. Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements. Working knowledge of PPO dental insurance. Excellent telephone, written and face-to-face communication skills. Strong organizational ability and attention to detail. Comfortable working independently as part of a small, experienced team. Dental practice-management software experience; Eaglesoft experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is mature, knowledgeable and confident without being aggressive. We are not looking for pressure-based sales. We want someone who can build trust, explain treatment clearly and help patients make informed decisions about their care. What we offer $23.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability. Paid time off. Paid sick days. Dental benefits for employees and their families. Consistent weekday schedule. A stable, patient-centered private-practice environment. A small, experienced team where your knowledge and judgment will be valued. The opportunity to develop genuine, long-term relationships with patients.
